  • Creating a coherent K–12 curriculum and assessment system that integrates Portrait of a Graduate competencies with academic content

  • The Pre-Conference Institute runs 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time)

  • The registration fee is $399 and includes all materials.

  • Attendees may only register for one in-person Pre-Conference Institute.

  • Pre-Conference Institutes registration is separate from the Annual Conference registration.

About the Presenter

Jay McTighe has a varied career in education. He served as director of the Maryland Assessment Consortium, a collaboration of school districts working to develop and share formative performance assessments, and helped lead standards-based reforms at the Maryland State Department of Education. Prior to that, he helped lead Maryland's standards-based reforms, including the development of performance-based statewide assessments.
